Trip Categorization Architecture
Executive-grade rules for the AI Reservation Engine across the Executive Portal, Hospital Portals, and the Digital MCS. The Copilot MCS Digital agent reads each trip's document to determine direction, CMS coverage, mobility category, service type, price, vehicle, and devices — protecting hospital liability.
Book a TripDischarge or After-Visit trip from hospital to patient home (or temporary destination within 20 miles for After-Visit only).
Patient home to hospital. Not covered under EMTALA; 10% Inbound Insurance premium added and claimed to CMS. $0 cost to the institution.
Hospital-to-hospital or facility-to-facility. Requires full medical justification; CMS audits heavily.
Outbound trips default to the patient's registered home address for CMS billing.
After-Visit trips may use a temporary destination (supermarket, shopping center) within 20 miles of the hospital. Discharge trips MUST go to the home address only.
Inbound billing contains two categories: Trip Fee and 10% Inbound Premium Fee.
- RCM deducts 3% only from the Inbound Premium Fee (0% of the Trip Fee).
- The Trip Fee is paid in full to the driver → CDS Provider Bank Account.
- The remaining premium (after 3% RCM fee) → Taya Healthcare Solutions Bank Account.
For every trip, the AI reads the uploaded document and executes the workflow for the detected trip type. The Digital MCS determines categorization for each hospital to protect liability.
